Rangers hut - limited edition

from A$36.00

In 1880 Karl Soelberg, merchant seaman came to Tasmania and jumped ship. Something about this Island called to him and convinced him to leave everything he had known. He bought forested land and carved out pastures and planted apple orchards. He had had heaps of kids including my grandad Eric, who alongside his brothers, Oscar, Harold and Rupert mined osmiridium in the 1920s boom and bought their own pieces of forest to transform into orchards.

I grew up on the original farm where pickers huts, vast apple sheds, creeks, orchards and forests blessed my childhood. This painting is about the quiet life, close to nature, simple things with simple ways and the sweet quiet that encourages all the animals to come in close. This painting reminds us that we do not need things to be happy and contented… what we are looking for is some unstructured time, to unwind… and to just be yourself.

This is a limited edition print made onto rich heavy and textured cotton rag paper (limited to 100)

Large measures 13" x 19" (A3Plus) and Small measures 8.27" x 11.29" (A4). Each print is made from a high resolution image of the original painting and the image is as large as will fit comfortably with a border for framing.

We provide free postage within Australia and New Zealand. We always endeavour to use 100% post consumer waste recycled paper and cardboard in our packaging.

Thank you for your interest in my art! :D
